C-32 Middleburg Elementary Cafeteria Expansion Contract Award

Issue/Rationale

This project is listed in the 2013-2014 Educational Facilities Plan.  The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval. 

 

The bid opening was held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.  The project had thirteen (13) bidders and all met the bid requirements.



Recommended Action

Award the construction contract to Gary S. Bailey, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $1,077,700.00 and additive alternates #1 through #4 in the amount of $171,800.00 for a total bid amount of $1,249,500.00.           



Financial Impact

The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
